Thomas H. Cartledge, III, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Cartledge has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics for over 30 years! He earned his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee. He then received specialized training and a master’s degree in orthodontics from St. Louis University.An esteemed member of the orthodontic community, Dr. Cartledge has been board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by roughly only 25% of practicing orthodontists. He also regularly gives public lectures on oral health, and he is a member of many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists and the Volusia-Flagler Counties Dental Association.
Away from the office, Dr. Cartledge has been a longtime volunteer with the Ormond Beach Rotary Club, and also enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
Brianne C. DeSantis, D.M.D, M.S.
Dr. DeSantis grew up in Merritt Island, Florida, where she met her husband of six years, Jason. She graduated with honors from The University of Florida (Go Gators!) and attended Nova Southeastern School of Dentistry where she was a member of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, serving as secretary. She was awarded the fraternities 2005 Scholastic Achievement Award and was the recipient of the 2005 Dental Student award from the American Academy of Periodontology for outstanding achievement. Dr. DeSantis also participated in a medical mission trip to Jamaica in 2004. She pursued her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Minnesota where she was awarded a Master of Science degree for her research involving growth prediction in adolescent patients using an adrenal androgen, DHEA.
Dr. DeSantis is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics as well as an active member in the American Association of Orthodontists, America Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Volusia County Dental Society. She is also a member of the Vanguard Society, an organization dedicated to the advancement of the Art and Science of Orthodontics through Scientific and Clinical Research.
Personally, Dr. DeSantis enjoys many outdoor activities including boating, fishing, tennis, jogging and walking her two golden retrievers, Hobie and Weiser.
